Las Vegas isn’t just the gambling capital of the world—it’s the craps capital too. But if you want good odds, low minimums, and a rowdy table, you’ve got to know where to look.

🏆 Top Craps Tables on the Strip

1. Casino Royale

  • Location: Center Strip (next to Harrah’s)
  • Minimum Bet: $3–$5
  • Odds: 3-4-5x
  • Vibe: Budget-friendly and unpretentious

Casino Royale is legendary among low-stakes gamblers. It’s one of the few places on the Strip that still offers $3–$5 craps tables during off-peak hours. That’s basically unheard of in 2025. The casino itself is small and no-frills, but the drinks come fast and the dealers are efficient.

This spot is perfect for beginners or casual players who want to get into the game without risking too much. It’s got a true old-school Vegas feel—no glitz, no BS, just affordable action and a mix of tourists and regulars throwing dice for fun.

2. The Cromwell

  • Location: Across from Caesars Palace
  • Minimum Bet: $10 (can drop to $5 during slow periods)
  • Odds: 3-4-5x
  • Vibe: Classy, boutique energy with an edge

The Cromwell blends upscale style with lively action. Its gaming floor is small, which creates a more intimate feel, and the crowd here tends to skew younger and rowdier, especially on weekends. Tables often get loud (in a good way), and the energy ramps up fast when a hot shooter gets going.

If you’re looking for a Strip craps table that has a little swagger without being overwhelming, The Cromwell is a solid bet. Plus, it’s one of the few casinos where you might actually catch $5 minimums during weekday afternoons.

3. Ellis Island Casino & Brewery (Just Off the Strip)

  • Location: Behind Bally’s/Paris (5-minute walk)
  • Minimum Bet: Often $5 or less
  • Odds: 10x
  • Vibe: Divey and fun with local flair

Ellis Island is a local favorite with a gritty charm. It may not be on the Strip, but it’s close enough—and the rewards are worth the walk. 10x odds make it one of the best bets in the city, and the tables are usually welcoming for new players.

It’s also home to its own microbrewery, cheap steak specials, and stiff drinks. The crowd is usually a mix of locals, savvy tourists, and people who appreciate the low-key vibe. Want a spot where you can shoot dice, grab a $10 prime rib, and drink for free? This is it.

🎯 Bonus Picks: Downtown Las Vegas

Want better odds, lower minimums, and even wilder vibes? Take a quick Uber to Fremont Street, where Downtown’s classic casinos offer craps tables that give the Strip a run for its money.

4. Main Street Station

  • Minimum Bet: Often $5
  • Odds: 20x
  • Vibe: Classic Vegas with high-value play

Main Street Station is beautiful in an old-school kind of way—think stained glass, chandeliers, and antique decor. But beyond the charm, it’s one of the best-value craps spots in Vegas. With 20x odds and friendly dealers, this place caters to smart shooters and long-time dice slingers.

5. Downtown Grand

  • Minimum Bet: $5
  • Odds: 10x
  • Vibe: Modern, chill, and under-the-radar

Clean, spacious, and rarely overcrowded, Downtown Grand is great for players who want a calm, relaxed craps experience. Dealers here are known for being helpful and not intimidating to newer players. If you’re just getting your feet wet in craps, this is a comfortable place to learn the ropes.

6. Golden Gate Casino

  • Minimum Bet: $10 (may vary)
  • Odds: 10x
  • Vibe: Vintage Vegas party scene

Golden Gate is all about high-energy tables and that wild, late-night Fremont Street energy. The tables are almost always buzzing—music blasting, people yelling, dice flying. It’s the oldest casino in Vegas, but it knows how to throw a party. Come for the vibe, stay for the run.

🧠 Final Tips for Finding the Best Craps Tables in Vegas

  • Show up early: Mornings and weekdays often have lower minimums.
  • Chase odds, not comps: A 10x or 20x odds table saves you more than a free buffet.
  • Stick to pass line + odds: It’s the smartest bet on the table.
  • Watch before you buy in: Feel out the energy and pace—every table has a rhythm.

  1. Noticed that most of the casinos have changed the craps table covering/underlayment to promote a more bouncy reaction to the dice. Are there any casinos that still have the old style table coverings. Even saw one without a “no pass” section and no graphics.
Like to toss at a table where the dice don’t bounce like a trampoline.
    Any comments.
