DraftKings vs FanDuel for Craps: Stakes and Bonus Rules

Sam Originally published

DraftKings and FanDuel are both candidates for a state-regulated craps account where their casinos operate. There is no useful universal winner: compare the exact local game, the cost of your complete position and any offer you would accept. A casino that fits a fifty-cent line wager may not be the best interface for managing several standing bets.

Information checked October 7, 2026. This comparison uses public operator, supplier and regulator documentation. We have not opened either account, deposited, withdrawn or played a logged-in game. The advertised game and limits may differ by jurisdiction. Michigan’s authorized-platform list includes both brands; that does not verify every game.

Choose according to the decision you need to make

What the public sources can help you compare
Your priority DraftKings evidence FanDuel evidence
Bet management Its official craps guide describes standing-bet controls and Options settings. Inspect the exact game help and controls; do not assume they match DraftKings.
Small entry stake Confirm the accepted stake in the local game. Its public First Person Craps listing advertises $0.50–$5,000, with Michigan context.
Deposit-bonus progress The Casino Deposit Bonus overview assigns craps 0% contribution. Read the specific local offer; no universal craps contribution is assumed here.

The table deliberately compares different types of evidence. A published game guide is stronger evidence of documented controls; a public limit is evidence of an advertised entry range. Neither is a test of your current account.

What DraftKings documents about managing bets

The official DraftKings craps guide describes a Winning Bets Stay Up setting and bet-management options. Those controls matter when a player wants to understand whether a winning bet remains at risk. The guide is a starting point; confirm the settings and rules in the version actually offered to you.

For instance, placing chips and seeing a winning notification are not enough to identify your next-roll exposure. A recurring wager can credit profit while remaining up. A repeat or preset control might also put down new money after settlement. Read the layout after the decision instead of treating a green wallet animation as evidence that every chip came back.

Read the full DraftKings review if controls are your main criterion. Our ticket-reading guide explains accepted stakes, pending bets and remaining exposure.

What FanDuel’s public minimum actually tells you

The FanDuel First Person Craps page advertises a $0.50–$5,000 range. It does not establish that every betting box accepts fifty cents, that the deposit minimum is fifty cents or that every state offers the same range. Check the specific wager and the local cashier separately.

Evolution describes its First Person range as RNG games. A dimensional table presentation does not turn a digital dice result into a live physical roll. If you want to observe actual dice with a dealer, search the local lobby for a separate live title and open its rules.

Read the FanDuel review for the listing’s scope and the low-minimum guide for chip increments and rounding. Do not invent a lower DraftKings minimum merely to produce a winner.

A fair comparison uses the same full position

Suppose both local games permit a $5 Pass Line wager and $10 Odds at point 6, with standard true Odds paying 6:5. Your complete position is $15. If 6 wins before 7, the line produces $5 profit and Odds produce $12 profit. Returning the $15 stake makes the total credit $32. A seven-out loses $15.

Standard point-6 settlement used for a like-for-like comparison
Figure Amount Meaning
Total exposure $15 $5 line + $10 Odds at risk.
Winning profit $17 $5 line win + $12 Odds win.
Winning credit $32 $17 profit + $15 original stake returned.
Seven-out cost $15 The complete position loses.

Use that same position when comparing two interfaces. A $5-only line bet and a $15 line-plus-Odds position are not equal-risk products. Odds have no house edge at true payouts, but additional money can still be lost on the next decisive roll. Better average pricing does not eliminate bankroll swings.

The deposit bonus can reverse the practical choice

DraftKings’ Casino Deposit Bonus overview lists craps at 0% contribution. That finding applies to the documented bonus, not every promotion DraftKings may offer. For FanDuel, inspect the exact offer’s exclusions and credited-wager rules rather than assigning a generic table-game rate to craps.

Consider a hypothetical $500 credited-wager requirement. If craps contributes 0%, making $500 of craps wagers adds $0 to the requirement. If a separate offer contributes 10%, reaching $500 of progress needs $5,000 of qualifying wagers. Those are arithmetic examples, not claims about a current FanDuel offer.

A larger welcome headline can therefore be less useful to a craps-only player than ordinary cash play without a bonus. Read the craps bonus guide before opting in.

Deposits and withdrawals: compare the same route

Choose a payment method only after checking whether it supports deposits, withdrawals or both for your local account. Then compare identity requirements, any prior-funding condition, published limits and the stages of cash-out. A fast casino approval is not the same as money arriving at your bank.

We do not rank either operator’s measured payout speed because no test transactions were performed. The PayPal craps guide explains what can change between casino approval, wallet receipt and bank transfer. Save the dated cashier information when making your choice.

Five checks before choosing either account

  1. Verify the casino is authorized where you will be physically located; a sportsbook app alone is insufficient.
  2. Find the exact local craps title and open the paytable.
  3. Confirm every stake in your intended position, including Odds and wager-specific limits.
  4. Decide whether to decline a bonus after reading its contribution, permitted-game and withdrawal rules.
  5. Set a spending limit and confirm the cash-out route before depositing.

If neither local game fits, compare Caesars, Fanatics or BetRivers from their individual reviews. A suitable choice can also be to use free practice and skip a paid account.
