Regulated U.S. casino
BetMGM Casino Review: A Regulated U.S. Option for Craps
BetMGM is the strongest regulatory fit of our three current casino choices—but only if you are physically located where its real-money online casino operates.
CrapsPit verdict
The regulated choice for four eligible states
BetMGM combines state-regulated casino play with both software/RNG and live craps options. Its narrow four-state casino footprint is the decisive limitation.

BetMGM Casino Review
For a CrapsPit reader in one of BetMGM’s supported online-casino states, BetMGM is the easiest of our three operators to classify.
It is a regulated U.S. online casino rather than an offshore site attempting to serve players nationwide.
As of our August 19, 2026 research, BetMGM’s real-money online casino operates in:
- Michigan
- New Jersey
- Pennsylvania
- West Virginia
Players must be at least 21 and physically located in an eligible jurisdiction when wagering. For us, that regulatory framework is BetMGM’s most important advantage.
It also offers something that matters specifically to CrapsPit readers: actual craps.
Where is BetMGM Casino available?
BetMGM currently operates its real-money casino in four states: Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Each market operates within its own regulated online-gaming framework.
This does not mean BetMGM Casino is available throughout the United States. BetMGM’s sportsbook footprint and its online-casino footprint are not the same thing. A player can encounter the BetMGM brand in a state without necessarily having legal access to the real-money casino product there.
Players must also be physically located inside the applicable casino state while wagering. Being a Michigan resident while physically sitting in Ohio, for example, is not the same thing as being located in Michigan for an online wager.
Does BetMGM have online craps?
Yes. This is a major reason BetMGM belongs on CrapsPit.
BetMGM currently publishes material for multiple craps experiences, including First Person Craps, live craps and other state-dependent craps titles.
First Person Craps
Evolution’s First Person Craps uses random-number-generator technology rather than a physical live dealer. It is designed for a solo digital craps experience while retaining the familiar table layout and major bets.
BetMGM has published title-specific limits for First Person Craps, but limits can change and may differ by state. Treat the limits shown inside the game you can actually access as authoritative.
Live Craps
BetMGM also promotes live-dealer craps. This provides the streamed-dealer/table experience for players who want something closer to a physical casino. Game availability and limits can differ by jurisdiction.
Learn how these formats differ in our online craps guide and RNG craps explanation.
Why BetMGM is relevant to CrapsPit readers
Most casino comparison sites devote most of their attention to slots, welcome bonuses, jackpots and VIP systems. CrapsPit starts with a simpler question: Can I actually play a proper game of craps here?
At BetMGM, the answer is yes. For players in its four casino states, craps also sits inside a regulated U.S. online-gaming framework.
That does not make craps beatable. The Pass Line, Don’t Pass, Odds, Place Bets and proposition bets retain their underlying mathematics. State regulation affects licensing, oversight, identity controls, game approval, dispute mechanisms and responsible-gambling requirements. It does not eliminate the house edge.
BetMGM games and state-by-state variation
BetMGM offers a large casino library covering slots, progressive games, blackjack, roulette, baccarat, craps, live dealer and specialty games.
The exact catalogue varies between states. That is normal in regulated U.S. gaming because individual games and suppliers must meet the requirements of each jurisdiction. A particular craps table visible in Michigan will not necessarily appear in Pennsylvania at the same moment. Check the live state-specific lobby.
Welcome offers and bonus terms
BetMGM promotions are difficult to summarize with one evergreen headline because they can differ by state and change over time. CrapsPit therefore does not freeze a giant bonus number into the top of this review.
For craps players, the headline amount is not the most important part. Before accepting any offer, check:
- whether craps is an eligible game
- how much craps contributes toward wagering
- the wagering requirement
- maximum permitted bets during the promotion
- expiration
- what happens if the bonus is cancelled
A large bonus is not valuable if the game you want to play contributes little or nothing toward clearing it.
Deposits, withdrawals and verification
Minimum deposit and payment methods
BetMGM currently publishes a $10 minimum casino deposit. Common methods can include bank/ACH options, debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay and other approved payment processors, with availability varying by jurisdiction and account. The cashier inside the player’s actual state-specific account is the authoritative list.
How long do withdrawals take?
BetMGM’s current withdrawal guidance says requests go through an internal review that can take up to five business days. After approval, delivery depends on the payment method. BetMGM gives examples including PayPal potentially within about 24 hours after approval and Visa potentially requiring an additional three to five business days.
Those are BetMGM’s published estimates, not a CrapsPit payout guarantee. CrapsPit did not make a withdrawal during this review.
Identity and geolocation
Regulated online casino gambling requires more than an email and password. BetMGM verifies eligibility and location. Players may need to provide identity information, and their device/location must indicate that they are physically within the permitted jurisdiction before real-money wagers are accepted.
Do not attempt location spoofing or circumvention.
Mobile and responsible-gambling controls
BetMGM provides mobile casino access, including mobile apps in supported markets. The same regulatory location rules continue to apply on mobile; a phone does not make online casino gaming nationwide.
BetMGM also publishes tools around deposit limits, time/session controls, cooling-off, self-exclusion and responsible-play information. CrapsPit supports using those tools before gambling becomes a problem rather than after losses escalate.
What independent reviewers say
Casino.org’s current 2026 BetMGM review gives BetMGM an expert verdict of 4.6/5, with particularly strong marks for security and game selection. AskGamblers also maintains a BetMGM Casino USA review and complaint database.
Those external ratings are not CrapsPit ratings. We mention them because independent testing and complaint histories provide useful context beyond an operator’s own marketing.
What stands out
- State-regulated in supported markets
- Real software and live craps
- Established payment and player-control systems
What to weigh
- Casino access limited to four states
- Game and promotion details vary by state
- Withdrawal review can take up to five business days
Who is BetMGM best suited to?
BetMGM makes the most sense for someone who is at least 21, is physically located in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania or West Virginia, wants a regulated U.S. casino, specifically wants online craps, values state oversight and is comfortable with identity and location verification.
If BetMGM’s casino is available where you are physically located, it is the strongest regulatory option among the three operators CrapsPit currently reviews.
Final verdict
Strong regulation, narrow availability
BetMGM earns its position because eligible players can combine regulated U.S. online casino play, real craps, live craps, software craps, established payment infrastructure and formal responsible-gambling controls.
The drawback is simple: most U.S. players cannot currently use the BetMGM real-money casino because it operates in only four states.
For eligible players in MI, NJ, PA or WV, it is the first of our three casino reviews we would read. Casino games have a mathematical house edge. No CrapsPit strategy guarantees profit.
