Rules version 1.0.0 · Reviewed 2026-08-29 · Method: Two fair six-sided dice produce 36 equally likely ordered outcomes. Standing wagers are evaluated per resolved decision; one-roll wagers use all 36 outcomes; Pass, Come, Don't Pass, and Don't Come use their complete contract cycles.
How to audit a craps payout
- Select the wager and enter the amount actually bet.
- Choose Check what I was paid, then enter the rolled result and the amount handed to you. Specify whether that amount was profit only or the total including returned chips.
- For Buy and Lay bets, match the table’s commission timing, rate, and rounding. For Field bets, select the printed 2-and-12 paytable.
- Compare the expected profit, returned-wager component, total settlement, and audit verdict. If the result differs from the layout or house rule, ask the dealer before the next roll.
What the auditor covers
Version 1 covers Pass Line, Don’t Pass, Come, Don’t Come, taking and laying free odds, Place, Buy, Lay, four common Field schedules, Hardways, Any 7, Any Craps, single-roll 2/3/11/12 bets, Horn, World, C&E, and easy or hard Hop bets. The reference table is printed in the page HTML from the same versioned rules registry used by the calculator, so readers and search engines receive useful payout information even before JavaScript runs.
Method and assumptions
The probability model uses all 36 equally likely ordered outcomes of two fair six-sided dice. “Payout” means profit unless the result explicitly says that the original wager is included. Contract-bet house edges are calculated over a complete decision cycle; standing and one-roll wagers use the appropriate resolved-roll or single-roll basis. Buy and Lay commissions can be charged on a win or up front, and both commission and payoff rounding are shown separately.
Casino layouts and local rules can differ. Confirm the Field schedule, proposition payoff, maximum odds, vig timing, and rounding printed at the table. This is an educational arithmetic checker, not a guarantee that a casino must use a particular rule.
