Pass Line Bet

Bets on the pass line must be made before the first roll (come out roll). The player wins if the come out roll is a natural (7 or 11) and looses if the dice show craps (2, 3 or 12).

If any other number comes up, that becomes the player's point. If that point is rolled before a 7 the player wins. This means that if the shooter rolls, let's say a 6, on the come out roll. The only numbers a player with a bet on the Pass Line has to think about are 7 and 6. If a 6 is rolled player wins and if a 7 is rolled player looses.

A Pass line bet is a "contract bet", which means that it must remain until won or lost and it pays even money.

My best Pass Line Bet

I have probably mad more pass-line bets in my life than I have had cups of coffee. The pass-line bet is the first bet I learned and I recommend all novice craps players to make sure they know what a pass-line bet is about before they place any money in other areas of the craps lay out.

The good thing about this bet is that the house advantage isn't that big. Sometimes I just want to play for fun and socialise with my fellow players at the table, then I usually place a pass-line bet before the come-out roll. There are also times when I use pass-line bets in more advanced systems. A favourite is the "Simple Ponzer". A pretty risky system that should be used only in a good streak and when the table is hot.
