Internet Gambling Traffic Increases

When the Unlawful Internet Gambling Act (UIEGA) was passed a while ago, many predicted that Internet casinos would suffer great losses as the player traffic decreased. Now we now that that hasn't happened. Even though a few sites don't allow American gamb

When evaluating at the online poker industry over the last three month one can see that the players just have moved their bankrolls to sites that allow American players. Poker Stars' traffic has for instance sky rocketed when many of the players that used to grind it out at Party Poker and Paradise Poker moved their business to Stars.

Casino gamblers have done just the same thing. When Golden Palace, one of the largest online casinos, left the American market, a lot of players transferred their money to sites where they still are welcome. Many of these players have started to play at Golden Casino instead, which is operated by Golden Palace but is open to all players, no matter where they live.

This proves that UIEGA has little effect on the casino industry in a large sense. If someone wants to carry on playing on the internet they just have to choose a site that welcomes them.
