Lucky Red Casino Review

UPDATE MARCH 9 2017: Unfortunatly their has been changes since writing this review and i can no longer recommend that you play at Lucky Red Casino. The casino along with some others are managed by a new group now that have shady practices.  Read more.

Typically, the longer an online casino has been around the more reputable it is going to be. Lucky Red Casino isn’t as old as some others—it launched in 2009—but for being younger than some of its competitors, Lucky Red Casino fares pretty well in the review department. By a slight margin, the positive reviews outweigh the negative ones.

Lucky Red Casino is fully licensed and regulated in Curacao, the home of many online casinos. It is UK owned, however, and that can be beneficial at times especially if a player requires support. The games offered by Lucky Red Casino are developed by Real Time Gaming (RTG), and industry leader. Their are many RTG casinos but you won’t find too many negative reviews about the games at Lucky Red Casino; RTG has been around too long and is one of the major players in game development for online casinos. They excel at playability and variety. The breakdown is about 70% slot games to 30% table games like craps, but must online casinos cater to slots players. Even so, the craps player will find an easy to navigate game that closely resembles the authentic action of a live craps table. It’s fast and furious, just like you want craps to be.

Their Toll free support number is: 1-866-513-0857 & their Postal Address: World Online Gaming, P.O.Box 313 Manchester, M21 3BY, United Kingdom. You can also reach them via live chat or contact form on their site.

The advantages of Lucky Red Casino

As far as we know, Lucky Red Casino is still accepting US players at this time. That will appeal to the huge base of people living in the States that like to gamble online. We always place an emphasis on this in our reviews because that is what a lot of people look for. We like that Lucky Red Casino offers a vast array of deposit options that not only serve US players but international ones as well. MasterCard and Visa, Neteller, and Skrill are just a few of the casino deposit options. Payments are processed securely with state of the art encryption.

While we are on the subject of deposits, Lucky Red Casino also scores well in the deposit bonus department. A recent check of their website revealed that they are still offering a 400% Welcome Bonus up to $4,000. You’ll have to satisfy some playthrough requirements but that is standard. Once you do that, however, there is no maximum cash out limit.

Daily promotions are a big deal at Lucky Red Casino, and they offer different ones for each day of the week. On Monday it is a 25% cash back bonus. Tuesday is a 70% slots bonus. Wednesday is a 66% bonus on ALL games (craps players will love this!). Thursday-Sunday offer more rotating bonuses. It’s pretty nice when an online casino keeps throwing up bonuses even after you register your account.

We also enjoyed the fact that they offered both downloadable casino games and instant play casino games that basically required no download. It is a preference thing, some like one and not the other.

Our Lucky Red Casino payouts never take more that 48-72 hours. Only once did we get close to the 72-hour mark and a quick call to customer support cleared that up. Our own customer service experience with Lucky Red Casino has been limited (that’s a positive thing) but when we do need help the response is usually quick. The company is very transparent with their contact information.

The disadvantages of Lucky Red Casino

The biggest problem we have with the Lucky Red Casino is that they do impose a $4,000 weekly withdrawal limit. We just don’t like that. However, we do note that this limit does not apply to progressive jackpot wins. If you win a big progressive you will be able to claim your money right away.

There are roughly 100 games at Lucky Red Casino, and as we mentioned about 70 of those are slot machines. That should be enough to satisfy the slot player, but we do understand that some players really like variety and the newer slots that feature superheroes, television shows, and what have you. Because they have a limited selection, Lucky Red Casino is sometimes slow to get the newer games. But most of our readers are interested in craps, anyway, so this isn’t much of a negative.

Our Opinion of  Lucky Red Casino

Taking all of the pluses and minuses into account we give Lucky Red Casino 3.75 stars on our scale of 1-5. The biggest mark against them was simply their time in business. Lucky Red Casino is still building their online reputation, and so far they have done a pretty good job. If you are willing to sacrifice access to the newer slot games in exchange for daily bonuses, then Lucky Red Casino is probably a good fit for you.

What they don’t tell you is when you deposit $100 and get a 400% match (which they did) you have to play 30X the $$ amount before you can cash out. I was very excited to deposit $100 and get $400 in bonus, however when I won $1,000 and wanted to cash out $500 I was told the bonus was in effect until you play $15,000 (yes, $15,000) – then you are able to cash out any winnings.

Hello Brenda, that is correct! All casinos have a wager requirement if a bonus is used, 30X is good and many casinos go higher. Personally, I just opt to play without any bonus 🙂 Before accepting a bonus at the casino, i recommend you check the casino website and look for the wager requirement and the games that the bonus can be applied to.
